I continue to be amazed by this thing. With an arsenal of classic UAD EQs at hand, I still find myself grabbing this one. It's not for surgery, but for simple sweetening or tonal balancing of a well recorded track, very often the VT3 is all you need. In fact, very often nothing else will beat it. Great on kick, snare, and bass geetar. I don't know that the EQ curve looks like, but I like what I hear.

I was once tweaking the heck out of the E Channel in the ssl 4000 bundle to make a vocal cut through a mix, and for the fun of it bypassed the E Channel, slapped VT3 on there..and ended up getting a better vocal in 1 min vs the 10+ I had spent on the E-Channel. Nuff said. I dont always grab this plugin, because sometimes I need some BANDS...but if its simple...itll get vt3.
